A little about us . . .

One of the main reasons for starting this business is the reality that not everyone who cherishes vintage clothing can actually fit into the real thing.  In fact, these days you would have to be a pre-teen to even squeeze a leg into the majority of clothing our grandparents/great-grandparents would have fit in.

Remember looking around in grandma's closet and barely being able to fit into her darling little high heeled pumps, even when you were only 8 years old?  I sure do, and like everyone else, my feet, along with everything else, continued to grow into adulthood.  Just another reason for now re-creating those fashions in sizes that actually fit the modern body.  Also, the unique undergarments used in order to achieve those proportions were not only greatly uncomfortable I am told, but for the most part no longer available.

We all know the real thing is pretty amazing, but the reality is most of us can only look and admire.  To find a piece we fall in love with that actually fits our modern proportions is pretty much the proverbial needle in the haystack.  This is why we are here, to re-work those things that we love in order to wear them, share them, and enjoy the experience they bring to our everyday lives, and sometimes our special occasions.

Every single one of our classic and unique clothing items and accessories we offer are produced from start to finish by us, and right here in the United States.  I am responsible for creating each and every one of the patterns used to create this clothing.  I scour old fashion magazines, pattern books, movies, old family photos, anything I can get my hands on to visually contribute to these looks, keeping them as close and true to the intended era as possible.

These items are kept as faithful as possible to the time in our history from which they are inspired.  We work very hard at finding the closest fabric and trim choices to what the garment would have been made up in originally.  We strive to keep the actual feel, texture, and look of the fabrics as true to the past as possible.

I hope you will enjoy your visit here, and please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

p.s. - we threw in some of my travel photography too just because we know you'll love looking at all the pretty pictures just as much as we do :)

WELCOME!
