Hawaiian Aloha Pin up-Bowling Shirt


These beautiful, custom made men's, women's, and children "Aloha" shirts are styled on 

originals from the 1930's, 1940's and on.  This style is sometimes called a "Bowling" shirt as well, but since these have been made up using an amazing quality vintage inspired Polynesian pin up print, I put them under the Aloha shirt heading.

 Plus Hawai'i happens to hold a very special place in my own heart.  

Anyone who has had the good fortune of living in or even just visiting the Hawaiian Islands knows these styles, along with a good pair of "slippahs", are just part of everyday island wear.  No matter if you are a tourist visiting places like the world famous Waikiki beach, or a high powered attorney headed for a day of work at the office, this is considered the norm.  A rather Democratic way to dress I suppose, everyone on the same level and in the same mindset -Living Aloha- whether Kama'aina or just passing through.







What kind of image can be used?

Illustrations and artwork such as the original pin ups seen here tend to work best when printed on the silk fabric.  However, 

I have also made custom peek a boo ties using personal photographs such as wedding and family photos, as well as commercially available photographic images of celebrities and these turn out quite impressively too.  

The choice is yours!  There are additional fees for detailed customized images, but the end result is a one of a kind item that will be treasured forever :)

Custom Silk Pocket

These beautiful little pieces of art were created in
response to my own uncles lack of a pocket square for his 50th wedding anniversary this past 4th of July - Happy Anniversary Chris and Albert, two amazing and beautiful works of art themselves!!
Just about anything you can "picture" can be printed onto and permanently affixed to the specially treated silk I use for this process.  
Once finished, the silk can be hand washed and/or dry cleaned from that point on, pretty cool!

* The smaller version is approximately 12x12 inches when finished and can be printed in allover full color.  * ​The larger version can be made at approximately 16x16 inches, which according to all the research I have done is  about the largest you really want to go in a pocket square before bordering on a full-on women's scarf.  The larger version will have a white background with your artwork centered on it.
* Our regular versions are finished with a very fine machine stitch hem.  
* We also offer a "bespoke" fine hand sewn hem version at an additional cost.
